Got told a funny story yesterday. A friend of mine was at an airshow last year (we're both in that industry) and he was down at a place called North Weald. Anyway, he is in the flying club-house, looking out the window and he sees a beautiful, reconditioned, Tigermoth and says out loud 'F*!k me, that is nice'......In the corner a bloke drops down his newspaper and says, 'Is isn't it!'. They talk for a bit and my mate says, 'So, do you fly for a living?'....'No, just a hobby, I guess i'm a retired musician'. My mate, as always on the ball said, 'Oh, what band?' and the guy replies, 'probably before your time....you might have heard of them....PINK FLOYD!!'

Since then, I have written a whole bunch (fifty-odd at the last count) but suffer from 'new idea, new tune, new lyrics' syndrome when halfway through another one! The downside is I have to try and discipline myself into finishing each one before starting the next. The upside is I end up with a whole lot of, albeit unfinished, material.
Very friendly and strong call, yet free. So I did make myself otherside of the tale, whatif I dived too... read more
